We are sad to report that Fr. Roger Davison, former Vicar of the parish,  died on 24th April, at the age of 95.

Funeral to be held at the College of St Barnabas,
Blackberry Lane, Lingfield RH7 6NJ on Mon 22nd May at 11 am
   
SERVICES
Every Sunday at 9.00 a.m. there is Morning Worship,  an informal all-age, half hour service in the Bedehouse
Bible readings, hymns, prayers, surprises!
At 10.15 a.m. is the Parish/Sung Mass, a service of Holy Communion in church with music, hymns and the choir.
Children present at this service are invited to leave at the start of the lessons to join a session of Godly Play in the Bedehouse and rejoin the service after the consecration.
Coffee/Tea afterwards in church .
 Second Sunday of the month 6pm Choral Evensong.

Mass is also normally celebrated weekly at 7 p.m. on Mondays (Meditation within a Celtic Mass)
9.30 a.m. on Wednesdays
10.30 a.m. on Thursdays

of each month at the Railway Inn, Rushden High St. at 11.45 a.m.

Fr Roger is arranging a sponsored walk from Higham to Naseby from 25-29 May in memory of Ann & in aid of the MND charity. It is linked with the Archbishops' "Thy Kingdom Come" prayer initiative & is open to all, including any who would like 'to saunter' down Kings Meadow Lane after Mass at 9.30 am (note the time for that day) on Ascension Day, or on to Irthlingborough (coffee will be available in the Albert Underwood Room at the church). There is a sponsor sheet on the table in church; he is most grateful to those who have already contributed.

Today we welcome Michael Teague who is our new Parish Organist at St Mary’s. We look forward to having Michael on our music team alongside Tony and the choir. Welcome Michael.

PLEASE NOTE: ON ASCENSION DAY, THURSDAY 25th MAY, THERE WILL ONLY BE ONE MASS WHICH WILL BE SAID AT 9.30 AM AT THE NAVE ALTAR IN ST MARY'S.

CHRISTIAN AID WEEK ended yesterday. Envelopes are still available in church if you wish to give to support people in need around the world.

FARMER’S MARKET CONCERT by the St Cecilia Singers at 11.30 am on Saturday 27th May. All welcome, more details from Tony.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED as stewards to man the church during the week so that it can be open to visitors. There is a timetable at the back of the Church for volunteers to steward the Church at different times.

REMINDERS:
Coffee Morning every Thursday, 10 am to 12 noon, in the Bede House.
Parking in the Church Yard is for disabled badge holders only. The entrance to
the Church must be kept clear in case the emergency services need access.
