Work began on 7th October on the spire and tower to carry out necessary repairs. The work should take about 4 weeks during which time there will be scaffolding and fencing to protect the area. This will mean that entrance to the church for prayer on Wednesdays will need to be through the North Door and no access will be possible into the main churchyard for cars or pedestrians. On Sundays, we will be able to access via the West Door as usual. It won't affect the path down the North side of the church, although during the daytime each week, the gate into the Memorial Garden will need to be locked to prevent access to the tower base while work is going on above.
