Epiphany Gifts 2021
St. John's

At Epiphany, we remember how the magi, the kings, travelled from far in the east, following the star and bringing with them gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh - gifts of worship: gold for the King of all the world; frankincense for the baby who is God; and myrrh for one whose death would be important and would change everything. Before anything else we are called to worship – it is why there are churches! This year at Epiphany, perhaps you would like to offer a gift of worship too.

To worship well and beautifully we use lots of candles (especially at Christmas!), communion wine and wafers, and at special times of the Church Year we have the Advent Wreath, Palm Crosses and branches, the great Easter or Paschal Candle.  Even in this strange year, we have still had to print orders of service, provide clean altar linen, flowers and music, as well as our general ongoing costs of maintaining our beautiful church building, and this year our reduced income has made these ongoing costs harder to meet.

How to donate this year

  • The simplest method will be to transfer the funds electronically to TSB Rushden, sort code 30 97 20 account 00624817 in the name of Chelveston P C C.

  • Alternatively, you can make a gift via our Donate page

To let us know where you would like your gift to go:

We may well run the scheme a little longer this year due to churches being closed for Sunday Services during the Lockdown.

Thank you for your generosity

Our churches are open for private prayer only but our online worship continues
