St. Mary’s Virtual Pilgrimage to Canterbury

In order to help raise awareness of our 600 appeal (and hopefully some much needed funds along the way), we are looking to recruit a team of willing volunteers to help us ‘walk our way to Canterbury’ throughout March and early April.

The ambition is that by the 12th April (Anniversary of Henry Chichele’s passing), as a team we will have managed to virtually cover the distance between St. Marys in Higham Ferrers, and Canterbury Cathedral…142 miles.

Each week your total can be sent through to (feel free to share your Strava / equivalent updates for those with all the fancy apps and gizmos!) and we will sum up and share a progress report.

We will also be setting up a Just Giving page (details to be shared very soon), so as well as putting those miles to good use in terms of our daily exercise and spreading word about our cause, we may also be able to help contribute to the 600 Appeal fundraising pot. Please feel free to share with family and friends, near and far!

It doesn’t need to be a 7 mile hike every day, every mile covered will help us to get closer to reaching our goal, including your daily lockdown walk / run! So if you think you and your family (no age limits apply!) can help please reach out to Amanda as soon as possible either at the e-mail above, or on 07764589342 and we will happily add you to the team and start counting the miles!

We will try and find a way to celebrate us hopefully hitting our goals…but are yet to navigate what we will / won’t be able to do given restrictions at the time…so please watch this space.

Thanks in advance for your support
